Councilwoman Traci Park’s Re-Dedication of the Abbot Kinney LGBTQ+ Continental Crosswalk

Party / Social Gathering, All Ages
Abbot Kinney Blvd

Abbot Kinney Blvd near Santa Clara Ave & Cadiz Court

Councilwoman Traci Park invites you to join our office, our City department colleagues, and community leaders and partners for the Re-Dedication Ceremony for the Abbot Kinney LGBTQ+ Continental Crosswalk. This crosswalk project will enhance pedestrian safety and visibility through the addition of the new access ramps and a crossing signal.

As part of this effort, the iconic rainbow crosswalk will be relocated to the west side of Santa Clara Avenue and Abbot Kinney Blvd and the crosswalk design will include a Progress Flag design to show further inclusion for all. The new crosswalk will ensure full accessibility, provide a refreshed aesthetic, and bring a sense of placemaking to the iconic Abbot Kinney Boulevard.

We would like to thank our partners at the Bureau of Street Services, the Department of Transportation, the Bureau of Street Lighting, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, the Abbot Kinney Boulevard Association, Access to Prevention Advocacy Intervention & Treatment / SSG, the Los Angeles Civil Rights Department, One Institute, the Salvadoran American Leadership and Education Fund, the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles, and Venice Pride for their partnership in this endeavor.

This event is organized by the Office of Councilwoman Traci Park as part of Circa: Queer Histories Festival 2025, presented by One Institute.
